Spherical roller bearings (SRB’s) are considered to be the workhorse of industrial bearings and find wide use in industry due to their incredible load carrying capabilities.
SRB’s have 2 inclined rows of rollers running on a common spherical raceway in the outer ring. This geometry offers very high axial and radial load carry capability in a self-aligning format allowing dynamic misalignments in the order of 1 to 2.5 degrees.
Features of SRB’s include:-

NBC stocks a wide range of standard execution spherical roller bearings with steel, brass or plastic cages; parallel or tapered bore for all industrial applications.
All necessary associate parts such adapter and withdrawal sleeves, lock nuts and washers and bearing housings are also held on stock.

Vibratory or “Shaker Screen” bearings
“Shaker screen bearings ” are a subset of SRB’s with specific design features that enable them to resist the harsh operating environment found in vibrating machinery. These include:-
Because of the demands of the application, it is essential that mating shafts and housings are machined to the correct tolerances.
At QCB we have taken the long and complex suffixes used by other manufacturers and combined features to simplify the numbering system into the QCB Q80, Q405 and Q41 Extreme Series which are supplied to OEM manufacturers and end-users worldwide with excellent results.

New for 2025 is a range of sealed spherical roller bearings.
In extreme operating conditions, dirt and moisture can evade housing seals and will contaminate and emulsify the grease within which will lead to premature bearing failure.
Apart from using better seals, and a better grease, a final barrier to contamination could be a sealed SRB.
