Locking elements (also called Cone Clamping Elements) are a simple yet effective way to provide keyless shaft-to-hub fixation with high torque transmission capabilities.

The advantages of locking devices are:

• The elimination of play between the shaft and the driven part
• Uniform distribution of the load over the entire diameter
• Smaller drive shaft diameters possible due to higher torque transmission capabilities

Locking devices are generally manufactured in C45 steel.
