Pilot bore Sprockets & Platewheels
Sizes: 03B-1 to 32B–3 (BS or DIN 8187 ISO/R 606); ASA35 to ASA 160-3 (DIN 8188 ISO/R 606 or ANSI B 29,1)
Double simplex, duplex and triplex sizes on stock
Standard material C45 or cast iron (size dependent)
Special materials available to order (e.g. stainless)
Hardened teeth can be requested for better wear resistance in service
Specials manufactured to customer drawing
Cast iron/ steel sprockets
Cast iron, large diameter sprockets are available. For extreme operating conditions machined steel sprockets can be sourced.
Taper bore sprockets
Taper bore sprockets use taper bushes to fix to a shaft.
Economical (the combined cost of a taper bored sprocket and taper bush is usually less than a machined pilot bore sprocket)
No shaft keyway required.
Ball Bearing Idler Sprockets
Idler sprockets have bearings already installed, ready to be fitted at the relevant tension or idler gear points.
