QCB® Stainless Steel 4 Bolt Square Block Housing Unit is complete with a stainless steel insert filled with food-grade grease.
- Interchangeable with cast iron units

The QCB® range of housed Stainless bearing units consists of solid-base housing in AISI 304 stainless steel matched with AISI 440 stainless steel inserts. Open and closed style end caps further prevent contaminant ingress.
Used in applications where product contamination is forbidden. QCB® Stainless bearing units are available in a range of housing styles and with bore sizes from 12 mm to 50 mm or 1/2″ to 2″ from stock.
The housing offers a solid base and smooth finish to limit areas susceptible to bacterial growth.
Open and closed shaft end covers to match are available to fit one or both sides of the housings (as applicable) to prevent contamination entry, even when the machinery is subject to high-pressure wash-down.
QCB® Stainless inserts are factory-filled with FDA-approved food grease
SSUCF Square 4-bolt flange black housings are similar to the cast iron UCF 200 or SF Series.

SUC insert limiting speeds
The limiting speed of any ball bearing insert is, for practical purposes, determined by the quality of fit between the inner ring and the shaft.

Setscrew tightening torque
The 2 setscrews should be tightened to the appropriate torque figure. Over tightening may result in a fracture developing in the inner ring.
Should the axial load be high, a small dimple in the shaft may improve the locking effect. For best effect the bearings should be mounted against a shoulder in the shaft.
